Lived Experiences of Singing in a Community Hospice Bereavement Support Music Therapy Group | Online presentation

Did you miss Dr. Laurel Young and Adrienne Pringle's webinar on January 17? You can hear it here along with the powerpoint on YouTube. Presented by the Réseau Québécois de recherche en soins palliatifs et de fin de vie.

The study examined the singing experiences of seven female adults who participated in a postloss bereavement support music therapy group that took place in a community hospice. Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) resulted in seven narrative summary interpretations that represent explicit and implicit aspects of each individual's lived experience of singing in this context. Cross case analysis revealed themes organized under five categories. Implications for research and practice will be presented.
