Dr. Anjali Awasthi: Professor and Students Claim Multiple Awards


Dr. Anjali Awasthi and several of her graduate students recently attended the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM), which was held October 23-25, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario.

It was an exceptional event as Dr. Awasthi and her students garnered no less than four awards at the 2019 IEOM Awards ceremony.

In the category of Graduate Student Paper Competition Awards, Ujjwal Khanna and Anjali Awasthi won second place with their paper entitled "Neural Networks and Internet of Things Implementation to Aid Pedestrian Safety".

In the category of Simulation Competition Awards, Malakeh Saberi and Anjali Awasthi won first place with their paper entitled "Using of Optimal Simulation Modelling to Reduce Radiotherapy Cancer Waiting Time and Improve Survival".

In the category of Supply Chain Competition Awards, Chinedu Egbuonu and Anjali Awasthi won first place with their paper entitled "Utilizing the Blockchain Technology as an Effective Means for Supply Chain Traceability".

And finally, the IEOM Special Recognition Award was presented to Dr. Anjali Awasthi.
