Upcoming film screening and talk with David Morin at La Maison du Cinéma in Sherbrooke


Le français suivra. 

David Morin, CSLP member, co-chair of UNESCO-PREV and professor in the School of Applied Politics at Université Sherbrooke, will be featured at an upcoming film screening and talk at La Maison du Cinéma in Sherbrooke. The event takes place this Sunday, September 5th, at 1:15 pm. 

Being shown is a new documentary film by David Dufresne, titled Un pays qui se tient sage [“A country that behaves itself”], which addresses rising political dissatisfaction and the increasingly violent state repression of citizen protests.

Morin will be sharing his expertise in the fields of national and international security in a Q&A following the screening.

David Morin, membre du CÉAP, co-titulaire de la Chaire UNESCO-PREV, et professeur à l’École de politique appliquée de l’Université de Sherbrooke, sera le conférencier invité d’une projection spéciale du film « Un pays qui se tient sage », par David Dufresne. La projection sera suivie d’une séance de questions-réponses avec M. Morin. 

L'événement aura lieu ce dimanche 5 septembre, à 13h15.

Le film traite du mécontentement politique croissant et de la répression de plus en plus violente des manifestations citoyennes par l'État. M. Morin va partager son expertise dans les domaines de la sécurité nationale et internationale.
