About the host organization

Musique Nomade is a non-profit organization that works for the development and recognition of Indigenous talents and identities in music, a key partner of artists in creation and promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in creating communication and promotional content for Musique Nomade and the artists’ digital platforms;
  • Collaborate in updating databases and all other tasks in support of the communications manager and digital development agent.

Assets and requirements

You must be a Concordia student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program through the fall 2026 term.

  • Students who self-identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis will be prioritized for this role. Students not identifying as Indigenous in Canada should have a good understanding of Indigenous realities and allyship.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Creative thinker fluent in all things relating to social media
  • Team player who enjoys collaborating in a multi project environment

Duration

September 8, 2026 -  November 27, 2026 (12 weeks)

These dates could be negotiated between the intern and the host organization. Internships might be renewed for up to 3 terms if that is of interest to both the student and the host.

Note: Interns are invited to come work at SHIFT's co-working space (LB-145) between 10-4 throughout the work week.

Working style

Independence: This role offers a balance of independent work and guidance. Students will have opportunities to take ownership of their work while receiving support as they build confidence, develop new skills, and contribute to the organization's work.

Support: You'll have scheduled opportunities for guidance and feedback, with additional support available as needed.

Hours

180 hours total, 15 hours a week

Remuneration

$3,750
