Meet Julia Yaw

Hi I'm Julia! I'm currently in my final year of my bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in management. I spent a semester in Copenhagen, and I had an amazing time. I have a real passion for trying out different kinds of foods – always up for a new taste adventure. Exploring new cultures and fashion trends through travel is something I absolutely love. If you have any questions about going abroad for a semester, don't be shy to reach out!!!

My experience abroad

Reffen (Street food), Copenhagen: Julia Yaw

My favourite part of going on exchange was…

Being able to easily travel within Europe. Meeting new people and immersing myself in the Danish culture.

The one thing I wished I would have known before going on exchange is…

If you're going to Copenhagen pack hat, scarf, gloves, and clothes that can be layered! It's kind of cold out there.

The scariest part of going on exchange was...

The first few weeks because everything around you is new and you need to find a routine for yourself.

A tip I would give to students applying for exchange is…

Don't overthink and just apply! Living abroad for a semester will be one of the best decisions you do for yourself, academically and personally. It's something I definitely suggest everyone to experience. You will have an amazing time!!!
