Meet Chloé Di Staulo

Hi! I’m Chloé, a 22-year-old student at Concordia’s John Molson School of Business. I am currently studying marketing, but my passion has always been travelling, one of the many reasons I decided to do an exchange. I am hoping to turn it into a career one day! My other hobby is musical theatre! (NYC is my favorite city for that reason).

My favorite part of going on exchange was…

Being able to experience life on my own, in another country. Everything I did, lived and experienced was for me, and that may sound selfish but it’s a really rewarding self-discovering experience.

Going on exchange challenged me because..

I used to have bad anxiety and was scared to do a lot of things. This really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I now feel like I’m capable of anything.

The most unexpected part about exchange was…

How much my problem-solving skills improved. Things that once seemed like a big issue have become a lot less intense, as I feel better equipped to handle them. Living alone in another country will do that!

The one thing I wished I would have known before going on exchange is…

The first week or so will be hard, and you may feel a sense of regret wondering why you took this risk, but it will all be well in the end! Once you find your people, or something that brings you joy, the energy will be high!
