Nadia Bhuiyan
Vice-Provost, Partnerships and Experiential Learning
Nadia Bhuiyan oversees the Experiential Learning Office, officially launched in 2019, and continues to reach out to faculty members, staff, students and third-party organizations to broaden experiential learning opportunities for students. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University and her MSc and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
Her research focuses on product development processes, dealing with the design, development, production, and distribution of goods and services, with a focus on emerging tools and techniques for integrating design and manufacturing to improve process performance. After joining the university in 2002 as assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering, Nadia Bhuiyan became associate director of CIADI in 2003, and the director of education of CIADI in 2015. She was promoted to associate professor in 2008 and professor in 2014, serving as director of the Master of Aerospace Engineering program from 2008-2010.
