Graduate (re)Orientation
Graduate (re)orientation is a School of Graduate Studies initiative designed to help graduate students stay connected, stay motivated, and maintain momentum as they move beyond the initial onboarding phase and into the next stage of their academic path.
About the Program
Graduate (re)orientation events are tailored for thesis-based graduate students like you who have moved beyond the first milestones of their program like coursework and candidacy exams, and are navigating the mid-program experience. While early orientation events often focus on you getting started, (re)orientation sessions help you plan, stay productive, and support your well-being as you continue to maintain steady progress toward program completion.
With separate events for thesis-based master’s and PhD students, graduate (re)orientation offers content that is applicable across programs as well as sector-specific strategies tailored to help you navigate the transition to the independent research stage of your academic journey.
