How are Two-Spirit, trans and nonbinary people represented in Canadian politics?

My research is inspired by years of community organizing alongside trans, non-binary and Two-Spirit people who continue to navigate political systems that were never built with us in mind. As someone who has long been involved in grassroots advocacy, I’ve seen how policy decisions—often made without meaningful input—can profoundly impact our lives.

I’m driven by a desire to make political science more accountable to the communities it studies, and to help create knowledge that supports justice, inclusion and collective care. This work is both personal and political, shaped by the people and movements that raised me.
