Course Description and Learning outcomes

As the instructor of this course, you will guide learners in exploring how generative AI is redefining efficiency in the workplace. You will help them use AI to accelerate routine tasks, create more time for higher-value work, and learn more effectively, while emphasizing that consistently high-quality results require skill, support, and a stronger understanding of how to work with AI.

Through practical instruction, you will help learners move beyond quick wins and make generative AI a reliable part of their daily workflow. You will introduce a range of generative AI tools, demonstrate when each is most effective, and help learners develop the judgment and confidence to use them naturally for faster, higher-quality work.

You will also encourage learners to use generative AI confidently, creatively, responsibly, and ethically. By helping them build these capabilities, you will prepare them to identify new opportunities for professional growth and remain adaptable as AI continues to reshape career success.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Apply a variety of GenAI tools to get more done, free up time and produce higher-quality work.
  • Put advanced prompting skills and other communication techniques into practice to get the most out of your GenAI interactions.
  • Identify new opportunities to solve problems creatively with GenAI.
  • Understand how to use GenAI responsibly by recognizing risks, limits and potentials biases.
  • Build confidence using GenAI by learning how it works and the history behind its emergence.
