The Department of French Studies at Concordia University uses a multidisciplinary approach to learning that encompasses three areas of specialization: language and linguistics, French-language literature, and English-French translation. Our research and publications
The Department’s faculty members are actively involved in pursuing innovative research projects in various fields. Students have the opportunity to take part in these projects, developing their competencies while contributing to scientific advancements.
Resources for students
We have what you need to succeed: French conversation groups and tutoring; a computer lab equipped with writing-assistance software and translation tools, and a pluridisciplinary resource centre. You can also participate in our many activities, such as the Jeux de la traduction talks and lectures, and skill-building workshops.
