Our Goal
To raise our game by providing our student athletes with financial aid, top-tier coaching and opportunities to train and compete internationally.
In support of this goal, every donation will be doubled thanks to the generosity of former Loyola College star and Concordia Hall of Famer George Lengvari, who will match donations up to a total of $10,000.
Joining Lengvari is Sir George Williams alumnus Marcel Elefant, who will also support men's basketball in the spirit of Giving Tuesday. He will match donations up to $5,000, which means a total of $15,000 can be doubled.
Meet the team
The Concordia Stingers men's basketball team consists of elite student athletes who dedicate their time and energy to training on the court and to studies in the classroom.
Although this year has brought many challenges, the team is still looking ahead and preparing for when it can safely play again. In the meantime, with the help of a dedicated coaching staff, the Stingers are focusing on developing skills on the court and getting stronger in the weight room.
The men’s basketball program remains committed to building the most competitive team possible and is always looking to recruit talented new players.

Contributions will make a lasting impact on our Stingers basketball experience and help us build a winning team.
Your donations will provide financial support through athletic awards, a major incentive to attract and recruit first-rate student athletes. You will also help provide invaluable international experience by covering the cost of travel to tournaments and exhibition games in the USA.
Funding will also allow us to engage a full-time assistant coach, and a basketball-specific strength and conditioning coach, and enable us to purchase state of the art Dr. Dish shooting machines.
