Looking to meet other Concordia students, make new friends and get to know our beautiful city? Explore Montreal is a FREE weekly summer outing led by International Students Office staff and Student Success Centre Mentors. Every week throughout the summer they bravely venture out with a group of curious and enthusiastic Montreal lovers to explore, taste, enjoy, and experience what our beautiful city has to offer.
Anyone can join the group; our rules of engagement are simple:
Be open to meeting new people from different cultures and
Be willing to make new friends.
STARTING POINT: We will meet up at the ISO, GM 340 to start our walks at 1:30 p.m. At the end, we will return to Concordia University.
DURATION / DISTANCE: Walks will be about 2.5 – 3.5 hours in duration; distance will vary according to destination, however, you should expect to walk a minimum of 5 km. By theway, we are not power walking – we will be walking at an easy, casual pace! We will also have some rest stops so we can grab a snack, an ice-cream and enjoy the scenery.
WHAT TO WEAR: / BRING: Wear your walking shoes; bring sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat; bring a camera, water and a light snack. Although these activities are FREE, it is always a good idea to have some money on you in case you want to purchase some goodies.
NOTE: IN CASE OF RAIN THE WALK WILL BE RESCHEDULED.
REGISTER: Registration is limited to 25 people, therefore if you are interested in joining the Explore Montreal Walking Tours, register soon!
