A two-part workshop to help you start building Virtual Reality (VR) experiences quickly and easily. This workshop makes use of the A-frame JavaScript library. Prior knowledge of JavaScript or HTML is NOT required (but it doesn't hurt). The second session is for sharing VR creations, troubleshooting, and demonstrating more advanced features. Learning Objectives: This workshop will help participants understand what Virtual Reality (VR) is and the various compotent involved in building various VR experiences. It will also provide a practical walkthrough of setting up and customizing a VR environment. Based on participant interests, different features will be explored in more depth. Take the first step towards your career path
The perennial herb garden at Loyola Farm is the main teaching and demonstration site of the City Herbal Apprenticeship Program, and is the oldest garden plot at the site. Volunteers will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty, and will work on a variety of garden tasks including bed and path maintenance, weeding, transplanting, and general garden upkeep.

So you want to model things in 3D, but you’re unfamiliar with how to do it or the software you’re using doesn’t give you the fine control you need? Come to our workshop. For this session, we are going to focus on building practical structures for lab environments. OpenSCAD is free, open-source software for detailed, programmatically defined, primitive based rendering software. If that sounds complicated, you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy and intuitive the software is once you get started. No programming experience required (although it doesn't hurt). Computer and software are provided, but to walk away even better prepared, feel free to bring your own laptop and have OpenSCAD installed on your computer before the session. This workshop is open to all.

The ASP Health and Safety on Construction Sites course is a requirement for obtaining a certificate of competence, authorizing the holder to work on a construction site in Quebec. The course is also obligatory for management and control staff working mainly and usually on a construction site. The objective of the course is to develop a general understanding of everything affecting health and safety on construction sites.
This presentation will provide staff and faculty with an understanding of visible and invisible disabilities on campus. The common symptoms and characteristics associated with the most prevalent mental health conditions will also be reviewed, as well as how these conditions appear in classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, and on campus. Strategies for barrier reduction will be addressed.
