Effrosyni Diamantoudi
Provost and Vice-President, Academic
Effrosyni (Faye) Diamantoudi began a five-year term as provost and vice-president, academic on May 1, 2026, having held the role on an interim basis since September 2025.
Diamantoudi has been a member of the Concordia community for more than 20 years. She joined the university in 2003 as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and became a full professor in 2015.
Diamantoudi has contributed to the university through various administrative positions, having served as dean of graduate studies, interim vice-president of research and graduate studies, associate dean of recruitment and awards in the School of Graduate Studies and graduate program director in the Department of Economics.
A specialist in game theory and environmental economics, Diamantoudi is a member of the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre, member of the Board of Directors of CIRANO (Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche en Analyse des Organisations), treasurer of the Canadian Association of Graduate Studies and president of the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools.
