Protests, classroom access and key resources
In anticipation of possible student strikes this fall and considering recent misinformation, it's important to know that the blocking of classrooms, entrances, exits and circulation areas is prohibited under the Code of Rights and Responsibilities and related policies. Wearing face coverings to conceal one’s identity is also prohibited. Any celebration of violence is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
The university respects the freedom of students to express their views and to protest peacefully, while also ensuring that students who choose to attend class can do so without disruption or harassment.
All Concordians – students, faculty, researchers and staff – have a right to a safe, respectful, inclusive and civil environment. We need everyone’s help in maintaining such an environment.
Review the behaviour guidelines and understand your rights and responsibilities outlined in the Code of Rights and Responsibilities.
