Team meetings, brainstorming discussions, planning sessions, trainings, workshops, and other gatherings are not effective by accident. Often, their success is rooted in purposeful design and led by a skilled facilitator. Competent facilitators are adept at sensing group energies, ensuring active participation, managing varied group perspectives, catalyzing group dynamics, keeping discussions focused, and driving discussion and activities towards fulfilling workshop objectives. It’s no wonder that facilitation is increasingly in-demand by employers.

In this lively workshop, we will explore and practice proven strategies to master the essential skills of facilitation, equip you with a facilitation toolkit, and support you in achieving your facilitation goals.

You will learn to:

  • Define the role and mindset of an effective facilitator in various group settings.
  • Identify the key stages of facilitation and align methods to each phase.
  • Apply techniques to encourage participation and manage group dynamics.
  • Utilize active listening and powerful questioning skills to guide group discussions with clarity and purpose.
  • Handle challenging situations and dominant or disengaged participants with confidence and neutrality.
  • Leverage proven facilitation tools and frameworks.
  • Create inclusive and psychologically safe environments that foster engagement and trust.
  • Adapt facilitation style and approach to different group sizes, settings, and objectives.

Facilitator: Rosalia Felice, Communications Specialist, Learning & Development Professional, Public Speaking Champion & Career Strategist
