Important information regarding part-time hiring
Postings for teaching positions available for part-time faculty can be viewed on the Faculty Resource Information System (FRIS). All available teaching positions across the university are on FRIS. Log in to FRIS with your netname and password; if you do not have a netname, you may request a temporary account from the log-in page by choosing the appropriate option.
In order to apply, you must still complete a HARD COPY of the Concordia University Regular Part-Time Teaching Application Form
Include with your application a current CV, or ensure that your academic and profession service dossier on file with the department is up-to-date. There is an option on FRIS to apply on-line, but you must supply a hard copy of the application form.
If this is your first time teaching a specific course, please provide documentation about your qualifications and suitability to teach the course. If you are a returning applicant, please highlight the pertinent qualifications in your dossier on file in the department..

The Department of History, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Visitor (PDV) in Modern European History, with a preference for specialization in Modern Spain, to commence July 1, 2016. The term of the appointment is from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. The successful applicant will also have the ability to teach an upper-level undergraduate history course in European History.
The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in History or in a related discipline; will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching; and will have a promising record of scholarly research including publications appropriate to their stage of career.

The deadline for applications is May 25, 2016. Salary for the PDV is $40,000 per annum. In addition, the salary for a Course Director is $17,450.16 (a 6.0 undergraduate Fall/Winter History course). All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
