Cancellation and refund policy
At Concordia University, we understand that circumstances can change, leading to a change in your ability to attend an event you registered for. Our policy aims to be as accommodating as possible while ensuring the smooth planning and execution of events for our alumni and friends.
Concordia reserves the right to cancel any event due to insufficient registration or any unforeseen circumstances that would make the event non-viable. In such cases, Concordia will notify all registered participants as soon as possible and provide a full refund of any registration fees paid.
A registration is deemed complete once all fees associated with it are settled either at the time of registration or by the deadline provided during registration.
To align with our commitment to provide flexibility to our participants, full refunds will be issued to those who cancel their registration at least three (3) working days before the event's scheduled date. This policy applies unless otherwise noted in the event's specific details.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to alumni.events@concordia.ca, including the name of the event in the subject line of your email. Unfortunately, cancellations made after the three (3) working day deadline cannot be refunded, except under extraordinary circumstances, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Upon receipt of a cancellation request, Concordia will process refunds within two (2) business days, crediting the original method of payment used at the time of registration. Please allow five to seven (5-7) business days for the refund to be reflected on your credit card statement.
In line with Canadian charity laws, please note that donations made in conjunction with event registrations are non-refundable.
