Student Services is comprised of the following units who work together to deliver services, programs and outreach initiatives:

Elana Bloom

Director, Campus Wellness and Support Services

Elana oversees Health Services, Counselling and Psychological Services and the Access Centre for Students with Disabilities, which support health and wellness at Concordia and reduce barriers to participation for students with disabilities. These units work together to provide services and care to students, a network of resources and promote a culture of well-being and accessibility at the university.

Julie Foisy

Senior Director, Student Success and Retention

Julie oversees the Student Success Centre, Co-operative Education and Experiential Learning. Together, these areas support students as they transition into Concordia and prepare for what comes next. With a focus on student success and retention, these areas offer first-year support, learning and skill development, career counselling and career advising, as well as internship and experiential learning opportunities. Working closely with faculties and other campus partners, this portfolio contributes to connected learning experiences and reduces complexity across the student experience, helping students build the knowledge and skills they need beyond graduation.

Katie Broad

Katie Broad

Director of Student Life & Engagement and Dean of Students

Katie Broad leads the Office of Student Life and Engagement team, which is committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and vibrant student experience at Concordia. She oversees the NouLa Black Student Centre, the Otsenhákta Student Centre, the Concordia Student Parent Centre and Espace Franco. Through these units, and by working closely with student leaders, clubs and organizations, Katie and her team ensure that all students have access to the resources, support and opportunities they need get involved, build community and thrive during their time at Concordia.
