Office of Student Life & Engagement

We're ready to help you make the most of your experience at Concordia.

Who we are

The Office of Student Life and Engagement (SLE) is dedicated to supporting and promoting all aspects of student life that happen beyond the classroom. We work closely with student groups and leaders, celebrate student engagement, provide support for student-led initiatives and ensure your voice is heard at Concordia.

Enriching your student experience

Our work complements your academic journey with opportunities to meet peers, develop new skills, have fun and make a positive impact on the Concordia community.

We base our work around three guiding pillars:

  • It's all about relationships.
  • How we do things is as important as what we do.
  • We’re all in this together.

Concordia Council on Student Life (CCSL) special projects fund

If your student-led initiative could use some extra funding, the CCSL might be able to help. The deadline to apply is February 16, 2026.

What we do

We foster belonging and inclusion

We create spaces and programs to help you make meaningful community connections.

Concordia's student centres

Student centres are warm and welcoming spaces that offer personalized support, as well as opportunities to connect through shared experiences.

We support student groups and organizations

We work with Concordia’s student unions, associations and clubs to help you get connected and make things happen. Student groups register with the Office of Student Life and Engagement to access resources and host events on campus.

We also support planning for major activities like Orientation/Frosh, helping to ensure those events are safe, successful and fun.

We celebrate student-led projects and engagement

We recognize, fund and honour the work students do to make Concordia and their communities better. Get your engagement recognized, or nominate a Concordian for their impact:

Co-curricular record (CCR)

Official Concordia document that recognizes your involvement beyond the classroom.

Concordia Council for Student Life (CCSL)

Comprised of students, staff and faculty, the CCSL funds student projects and highlights great contributions across campus.

Concordia Engagement Awards

The Office of Student Life & Engagement hosts these annual internal awards with our partners to recognize Concordians that go above and beyond for their communities.
