Graduate Student Committee

The Concordia MIAE Graduate Student Committee (GSC) strives for maximum visibility by international industry and research communities, our way for prosperous post-graduation careers.

About us

Our vision is to improve the graduate research experience; ensure a successful transition into a future career, whether it is research-based, a faculty position, or an engineering position in the industry; and fortify the name and reputation of the MIAE graduate department. We work in close collaboration with the Graduate students of the Concordia MIAE department (PhD and MSc), the Montreal OR Student Chapter and the Graduate Program Director.

It is an entity formed of graduate students only. It encompasses all of the research-based graduate students in MIAE Concordia.

PhD mentorship program

Mentoring has a direct impact on how well we do in our projects and how soon we can earn our degrees. As fellow research students, we help one another whenever we can. Among ourselves, we have an unofficial support system. The MIAE PhD Mentorship program looks to make this support system official by providing first year PhD students with a list of high achieving senior PhD candidates from which they can choose a mentor to guide them through the initial workload of the program.

Program goals & benefits
