Teaching assistant (TA) positions are awarded to qualified applicants. The basic requirements are technical knowledge and good communication skills as demonstrated by past experience and academic record.
Applications are accepted from:
Graduate students in a masters or PhD program
Undergraduate students in 3rd or 4th year of study (achieving minimum A- grade in course to be taught)
To work as a TA you must:
Be enrolled in a program and registered in at least one course during the academic year
Note: Markers are exempt from the training and the test.
Covid 19 Exceptions:
Due to Covid 19, Fall tutorials and labs will be online. Consequently, Tutors and Lab Demonstrators will need to have certain resources (computer, email, microphone and/or webcam etc) in order to be able to do the work as below:
Access to internet and hardware equipment (computer, webcam, microphone/headset) – (the University can provide some equipment on request)
Ability to open the Moodle course and use some of the elementary features.
Ability to maintain regular live contact with students for labs/tutorials (via Zoom, MS Teams)
