The School of Performance is Quebec’s first interdisciplinary hub, bringing together the Departments of Contemporary Dance, Music and Theatre in a collaborative and innovative environment. 

Our programs combine technical excellence, self-directed artistic practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and hands-on experience. Students create original work, develop their unique artistic voice, and gain the skills, experience, and connections to succeed in a constantly evolving cultural world.

Our music programs prepare you to create, perform, and record across genres — from classical foundations to jazz, songwriting, contemporary production, and interdisciplinary collaborations. You’ll gain the versatility to make music both on stage and in the studio.

Theatre

Dive into the crafts of acting, scenography, and performance creation. Our courses expose students to artistic experimentation, and the social impact of performance making. You’ll learn to create original works, stage bold productions, and collaborative ways of staging stories that matter.

Graduate studies

Through the Individualized Program (INDI) and the Interdisciplinary Humanities PhD, students design unique projects that cross disciplines and explore new ways of thinking. With expertise spanning theatre, dance, design, literature, anthropology, urban studies, and more, our programs offer rich opportunities for collaboration. The ideal path for students eager to shape their own research and make original contributions to the arts and humanities.
