Study in a city that loves theatre

Montreal is known for its commitment to the performing arts. With year-round festivals like the Festival TransAmeriqueMontreal Fringe and Art Matters Festival, you will find a diverse range of small anglophone theatre companies living alongside a large, robust francophone theatre scene – one which our faculty, artists-in-residence have strong ties to and our students quickly connect with.

Study in a city with a diverse music scene

Montreal is known for an incredibly diverse music scene, with internationally-recognized festivals like the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Mutek, Nuits d’Afrique, Pop Montreal, or the Elektra Digital Arts Festival to name a few. Montreal has an open and experimental music culture, one which our faculty and alumni have strong ties to and our students quickly connect with. The opportunities to perform are many, and our students mix with working professionals and build networks in the local community.

Study in a city with a rich contemporary dance culture

Montreal is a dynamic, cosmopolitan city with one of North America’s strongest contemporary dance scenes. Its roots in both French and English culture has created a unique, exciting cultural milieu. Our program is tied into Montreal’s dance culture and in tune with its love of performance. Contemporary Dance students are a part of tightly-knit community, lending a hand at one another’s shows.
