This is a "quick start" guide (revised in December 2022) for the Sony FX 6 video cameras in the Fine Arts EV depot. It describes all the essential features of the camera and summarizes key information in one resource. The guide is not written for the absolute beginner but it does explain some fundamental concepts common to all video cameras. It is ideal for the somewhat experienced person who wants to quickly familiarize themselves with the camera.The FX 6 is a full frame Sony "cinema" camera and the most advanced video camera in the Fine Arts EV depot. The Sony Z90 and FS5 cameras in the EV Depot are suggested for beginners. Additional resources are referenced at the end of the guide.
