The SAP Speakers Series: Careers After CSSE features successful Concordia Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) alumni and industry experts to inspire, motivate and build confidence in CSSE students.

Join us for our inaugural conversation with Dr. Ibrahim Haddad, Vice President of Strategic Programs at the Linux Foundation.

All students in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science are invited to attend.

This event will be held virtually on Zoom.

About Ibrahim Haddad

Dr. Ibrahim Haddad is Vice President of Strategic Programs at the Linux Foundation, where he collaborates with the largest technology companies and open source projects. His work, and the work of the Foundation as a whole, support companies, developers, and the open source community in identifying and contributing to the technological projects that address the challenges of industry and technology for the benefit of all participants.

Before the Linux Foundation, he served as Vice President of R&D and Head of the Global Open Source Division at Samsung Electronics. During his tenure at Samsung, he executed Samsung's open source strategy, launched internal and external R&D collaboration projects with universities and other organizations, and supported M&A and corporate VC activities. Throughout his career, Haddad held technology and portfolio management roles at Ericsson Research, the Open Source Development Labs, Motorola, Palm, and Hewlett-Packard.

He graduated with Honors from Concordia University with a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2006, where he was awarded the J. W. McConnell Memorial Graduate Fellowship and the Concordia University 25th Anniversary Fellowship.
