Join us for lively discussions of new scholarship on gender and sexuality! Hosted by the Feminist Governance in Times of Crisis Working Group, the reading group brings together interdisciplinary research to encourage thoughtful exchange, collaboration, and fresh perspectives on emerging topics in the field.
This conference will focus on the territorial upheavals caused by industrial developments in the Nitassinan (ancestral territory) of the Innu community of Pessamit, from the perspectives of those who experienced them.
A workshop exploring the evolution, creative possibilities, and interdisciplinary potential of the visual essay. The session examines the visual essay’s hybrid and contentious nature, its role in visual scholarship, and its possibilities for post-disciplinary inquiry. Participants will look at the development of the form, review deconstructed visual essay experiments from Argentina and Mexico, and take part in hands-on activities demonstrating how visual essays work as intercultural and interdisciplinary tools. Attendees are invited to bring photographs and a proposed topic as we consider ethical implications and experiment with “the study of the visual and the study through the visual."
This Lunch & Learn will explore Russel Fralich's co-produced business case study, Le lancement du festival littéraire Metropolis bleu.
In this Lunch & Learn, Elya Myers will present her research article "Can We Talk?" Employment and Representation in the Film Industry.
La présentation de Mme Christine Routhier portera sur les principaux résultats tirés de l’enquête de 2024 sur la situation des langues parlées au Québec.
