Recognizes excellence in research leading to new understanding and novel developments in microsystems and related technologies: Photonics/Optoelectronics, Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), Microelectronics, Microfluidics and Embedded Software, or the application of microsystems and related technologies in Canada. Faculty, students or alumni who have successfully completed a Master’s or PhD degree in a Canadian university within the previous three calendar years are eligible for this award.
