Job description

As Project Manager, you will support two IMPACT projects:

  • Transforming Built and Urban Microclimates: Advancing Resilience Science for Vulnerable Populations in a Decarbonized and Electrified Canada
  • Design and Operation of Net-Zero Smart Resilient Buildings and Infrastructure.

The role requires 14 hours per week in collaboration with Dr. Liangzhu Wang and 7 hours per week in collaboration with Dr. Andreas Athienitis.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and facilitate partnerships with industrial, municipality, and government partners, contributing to national and international building codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Organize partnership and research events, such as workshops and conferences, nationally and internationally.
  • Help drafting research proposals, reports, and communications with partners.
  • Promotion of research and building engineering programs, and knowledge disseminations
  • Assisting research of graduate student projects.
  • Other research tasks as outlined by the respective Principal Investigator.

Qualifications/skills required:

  • PhD in Building Engineering, or equivalent terminal degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Building science, building physics, building envelops, climate change, and renewable energy research, and construction industry.
  • Accreditation in Project Management considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French
