If as part of your course, you need to conduct research that involves human subjects, the Advisory Committee on Ethics is here to help you comply with applicable standards and regulations. Consult the Office of Research and submit the Abbreviated Summary Protocol Form for Pedagogical Purposes to luis.sotelo@concordia.ca in the Fall term and shauna.janssen@concordia.ca in the Winter.

The role of the Ethics Committee is to:

• Ensure the compliance and ethical integrity of all research & creation done under the auspice of Concordia’s Theatre Department

• Ensure that all research is conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, including international, federal and provincial law, as well as granting agency and Concordia policies.

Committee members are Faculty delegates, who serve for year-long terms. The committee for the 2021-2022 academic year is:

• Associate Professor Luis Carlos Sotelo Castro (Regular member, Fall)
• Assistant Professor, Shauna Janssen (Committee Chair, Fall and regular member, Winter)
• Associate Professor Ursula Neuerburg-Denzer (Committee Chair, Winter)
