Statement on Ukraine situation

To the Concordia community,

Concordia is a proudly international university. Whether you’re from Eastern Europe, have personal ties to the region, or are simply following the news, the conflict in Ukraine is dreadful and affects us all in some way.

Since last Thursday, we have reached out directly to assist students from Ukraine and neighbouring countries studying at Concordia. We have also made available support services to all members of our community who are affected by the unfolding situation.

As you may also be aware, the Canadian Red Cross is accepting donations which the Government of Canada has been matching through the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.

I am sure we all profoundly hope for a rapid resolution to this crisis and we stand together with all those who are suffering and whose lives have been touched by this tragedy.
