Concordia’s new Wellness Centre is getting ready to open its doors to the community on Monday, November 13.

Located on the third floor of the Guy – De Maisonneuve Building (GM), the new centre will house Concordia’s Access Centre for Students with Disabilities (ACSD), Accommodated Exams, Counselling and Psychological Services, the Student Advocacy Office and the International Students Office.

The offices, currently located in the Hall building, will be moved over the weekend so as not to disrupt normal office hours.

These moves will consolidate and centralize Concordia’s wellness services into one easily accessible location, a floor above the university’s support services offices.

“By centralizing wellness and support services in the same building, we are making it easier for students to access what they need on two floors,” says Gaya Arasaratnam, director of Campus Wellness and Support Services.

The new spaces — designed with accessibility in mind — will provide state-of-the-art facilities to the university community. Four elevators will provide access to the space, and doorways and washrooms have been designed to accommodate those with reduced mobility.
