Taking care of your mental health and well-being is an important part of your success, and Concordia has a range of resources to support you. The University also has clear policies and procedures in place to address racism, discrimination, harassment and hate, all with the goal of fostering a respectful and inclusive community.

Mental health and well-being

Concordia offers a wide range of mental health services and well-being offerings to support you. If you're struggling with your mental health, don’t wait to seek support. The Mental Health and Wellness site provides comprehensive information on mental health services and resources available on both campuses. You can also self-book your mental health intake appointment and access 24/7 support, peer support and active listening. CU Wellness can help cultivate your well-being, depending on your needs.

Anti-discrimination

Concordia is committed to creating a campus where you can learn, live, work and do research in an environment that is respectful and inclusive. The Code of Rights and Responsibilities prohibits harassment, discrimination, threats and violence of any kind. If you encounter behaviour that violates the Code, contact the Office of Rights and Responsibilities for guidance and information about your complaint options. Policies and supports are in place to make sure you don’t have to navigate those challenges alone.

The Equity Office works to embed equity in all aspects of university life including in the classroom and during extracurricular activities by addressing barriers, supporting a culture of belonging, and promoting equitable practices. Join a workshop, reach out for a consultation or share your own ideas about how to build a more inclusive community. Partners such as the Black Perspectives Office, Multi-Faith and Spirituality Centre and the Sexual Assault Resource Centre are also available to discuss your concerns and provide specialized support.

Finally, the Ombuds Office is responsible for promoting fairness at Concordia. If you believe you have been treated unfairly, or if you have witnessed unfairness, the office can provide impartial, confidential guidance and support particularly when other systems and processes have already been pursued without satisfaction or resolution.

As you move through your academic and personal journey, know that support is always within reach. These resources are here whenever you or a friend might need them.
