Incorporating accessibility and inclusivity in research can be empowering and overwhelming at the same time. Part of the Equity Offices’ From Awareness to Action series, this two-part training program offers an open and interactive space for research assistants and graduate students to delve into equity concepts and principles and provides tools to help foster a research environment that is both enriching and accessible to diverse perspectives.

 

Learning objectives:

Through activities and discussion, participants will learn to:

  • Unpack key concepts in equity 

  • Explore practical ways to integrate equity, accessibility, and inclusion principles into research frameworks.

  • Recognize and challenge barriers to accessible and inclusive research 

  • Discuss and reflect on best practices to enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of research endeavors
