Creative workshop: Creature Fingers: Fibre Arts + Greenscreen with artist Abi Hodson

As part of Art Souterrain’s urban route and public programming, FOFA Gallery is hosting a creative workshop by Abi Hodson in the context of the current exhibition 𝘗𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘸: 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘴, 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴. 

Led by the artist, participants will create textile hand puppets and activate them within a live-projected green screen video installation. Participants will work together to create a collaborative video piece that will later be edited and shared with them by the artist.

👀 The workshop is free and open to all. No registration is required. Materials will be provided. The space is wheelchair accessible. Although the workshop will take place in English, francophone speakers are welcome to join.

Visit the 18th edition of the Art Souterrain Festival until May 10. The exhibition at the FOFA Gallery is open until May 22.

Dans le cadre du parcours urbain d’Art Souterrain et de leur programmation publique, la galerie FOFA présente un atelier créatif animé par Abi Hodson, qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’exposition actuelle 𝘗𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘸 : 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘴, 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴.  

Animé·e·s par l'artiste, les participant·e·s créeront des marionnettes textiles et les mettront en scène dans une installation vidéo en direct sur fond vert. Les participant·e·s travailleront ensemble pour créer une œuvre vidéo collaborative qui sera ensuite montée et partagée avec elleux par l'artiste. 

 Mardi 5 mai, 16 h à 19 h.

👀  L'atelier est gratuit et ouvert à toustes. Aucune réservation nécessaire. Tout le matériel sera fourni. L'espace est accessible aux personnes en fauteuil roulant. Bien que l'atelier se déroule en anglais, il est ouvert aux francophones..
