About the project
During medical emergencies, timely and effective first aid can mean the difference between life or death. The problem is that many individuals lack the knowledge or confidence to appropriately provide care and support to those in need. What’s more, remote areas may lack the necessary coverage to get immediate professional medical assistance during emergencies. The absence of immediate and accurate guidance in critical moments can escalate conditions and preventable fatalities.
To address this issue, we developed IntelliAid, an AI-powered medical assistance device designed to support users in delivering first aid effectively. Our kit integrates multiple sensors to monitor key health parameters, such as heart rate, oxygen levels, and body temperature. Using real-time data processing, our AI model analyzes these vital signs and, based on the MPDS protocol it follows, provides instant, step-by-step pre-arrival instructions for the patient and contacts 911 if the case is severe and requires attention.
The device features an intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) with speech-to-text and text-to-speech functionalities, facilitating interaction with patients through voice communication, thus ensuring accessibility for individuals with limited medical knowledge.
Designed for emergency responders, medical professionals, and the general public, our solution bridges the gap in first aid accessibility. Whether used in households, workplaces, or remote locations, the IntelliAid Kit allows users to respond effectively to medical emergencies, ultimately improving health outcomes and saving lives.
