Pathways in the Ethics and Values minor

Pathways for students admitted as of 2025-26 (24 credits)

The Minor in Ethics and Values is designed to allow you to fit a selection of PHIL courses together with a Major in a wide variety of disciplines. This allows you to combine your academic and/or professional interests with the study of ethics and values in philosophy—and learn some of the fundamentals of philosophy on the way.

The Department of Philosophy offers a wide selection of courses to combine with your Major. To help you select, here are some examples of pathways thorough the program, from a pathway that trains you in classic philosophical ethics, to one suitable for thinking about digital rights in the art world. We look forward to seeing what other pathways students will find to integrate the Minor with other disciplines and vocations across the university.
