Events
Sharing philosophical research and ideas is paramount, so we hold regular events open to everyone, especially philosophy practitioners, academics in related fields, and students of all disciplines.
Research symposium
Built on millennia of inquiry, contemporary research in philosophy covers a broad swath of topics, from enduring questions about the nature of morality and human experience, to urgent questions about how to overcome oppression.
The Concordia Research Symposium in Philosophy (CRSP, pronounced "crisp") features research conducted in Concordia’s Department of Philosophy. This annual event features presentations followed by Q&A and a reception.

This series invites guest lecturers to expound on their current philosophical research and findings.
Past events have included such topics as Normative Practice in Other Animals; Emergency Ethics in the Age of Climate Catastrophe; Discrimination at the Border; and Confucian, Daoist, and Democratic Contributions to Harmony.
