As the only art gallery located on the Loyola Campus, the Media Gallery has helped to make the Department of Communication Studies and the west-end campus a creative and critical destination at Concordia.
About the Media Gallery
The Media Gallery draws upon the talent and extensive experience of the curators, artists, and designers on faculty in Communication Studies, and provides a strong link between the humanities, fine arts and sciences. Integral to the Media Gallery’s mandate is to provide mentorship and professional development for our students; graduate research assistants have contributed in numerous roles to our exhibitions since the beginning. The exhibitions and events bring together students in our four programs who have been key participants in all aspects of organizing, installing and running exhibitions. The Gallery has instigated collaborations between faculty from production and theory, as well as forging links with our staff who have played a vital role in assisting with the exhibitions.
