Orientation Session for New Students

FAS Touchstone is a virtual general advising session offered in collaboration with all departments in the faculty of Arts and Science, in this case, Political Science.

For newly admitted fall term students: sessions begin at the end of March and run until early September.

What to do next?

Review the Touchstone presentation dates and find your department's scheduled presentation by going to this link:

https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/students/sas/new-student-advising/touchstone-presentations.html

Register for one of your department’s presentations;

Make sure that your confirmed booking is saved in your online calendar or written in your agenda.

What happens after?

After you attend the FAS Touchstone presentation, a registration restriction that prevents you from registering will be removed within a few days.

Review your required courses and course sequencing, if available.

Review the Class Schedule, or the Virtual Class Builder, if not already done, and place courses in your course cart.

Make sure that you register by your registration date or as soon as possible after the restriction is removed (the longer you wait, the harder it will be to get the courses you need/want). Please see this link for the starting date for registration for Newly Admitted Students:
