It is impossible to escape public speaking! Whether you are called to speak in front of audiences of two or two thousand, it is vital to develop this essential communication skill and effectively express yourself in all contexts. In this set of workshops – ideal for speakers at all levels – we will dispel common public speaking myths, provide useful tips on body language and tone, and help you to conquer your fears and meaningfully connect with your audiences in-person and online.

Part 1 of this Public Speaking series is all about improv; you will learn to develop your public speaking skills in short and sweet public speaking activities, find your authentic voice, and use it with confidence.

Speakers at all levels are encouraged to attend.

In this session, we will cover:

  • Public speaking ideals of connection vs. perfection, managing fear, and the value of vulnerability
  • Tips to connect with your audience to effectively inform and inspire
  • Strategies to channel fear and anxiety to enhance your presentations
  • Tips and practice time for improvisational public speaking, with little or no preparation

Facilitator: Rosalia Felice, Communications Specialist, Learning & Development Professional, Public Speaking Champion & Career Strategist
