Shape your Future and Shape Defense by joining the Policy Officer Recruitment Programme (PORP) with the Department of National Defense.

This information session on the Policy Officer Recruitment Programme (PORP) at the Department of National Defense will provide information on our 3-year on-the-job professional development programme, and explain why and how to apply. There will be ample time for questions following a 40-45 minutes presentation.

The PORP may be of particular interest if you :

• Are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Have a Master's degree (or are expected to complete it by 31 July 2023) in social sciences, arts or humanities
• Have experience and are interesting in researching, analysing, and writing on subjects related to international affairs, defence, and/or security or public policy

Attending this event will enable you to:

• Learn about the Policy Officer Recruitment Programme, what it entails, why you should apply, and how to apply
• Get useful tips on each step of the application process
• Position yourself for a dynamic career that will allow you to shape your future and shape Defence
