Incorporating accessibility and inclusivity in research can be empowering and overwhelming at the same time. This two-part training program offers an open and interactive space for research assistants and graduate students to delve into equity concepts and principles and provides tools to help foster a research environment that is both enriching and accessible to diverse perspectives.
Learning objectives:
Through activities and discussion, participants will learn to:
Unpack key concepts in equity
Explore practical ways to integrate equity, accessibility, and inclusion principles into research frameworks.
Recognize and challenge barriers to accessible and inclusive research
Discuss and reflect on best practices to enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of research endeavors
