This workshop is part of the CTL's Teaching with Generative AI series.

Generative AI tools such as Chat GTP can be helpful tool for faculty in conceptualizing and planning courses, and it can be a timesaver. In this session, participants are invited to bring along their syllabus-in-progress. The facilitator will give participants an overview of what goes into a well-developed inclusive, learner-centered syllabus and give participants the opportunity to develop and refine sections of their syllabus with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

During the workshop, participants will:

  1. Examine and refine their learning objectives with the help of AI .
  2. Discuss and explore assessment strategies and options through discussion with participants and an AI bot.
  3. Examine course policies and generate custom course policies with the help of AI.
  4. Get feedback on their syllabus.
  5. Generate a list of potential readings using AI.

Bring your laptop and your draft syllabus to this workshop.
