Timed assessments are often a popular choice among instructors but are among the most stressful assessment format for students. In this interactive session participants will explore questions such as: What drives an instructor’s choice of timed assessments? What assumptions are embedded in that choice? How valid are those assumptions? What are some realistic alternatives to timed assessments? If you do choose to use timed assessments, what are some best practices that would ease the stress for students?
