With over 1000 studies on the positive impact of nature on our wellbeing, there is now no doubt that time spent outside is crucial to our mental health. Time spent in nature is related to a multitude of benefits such as better cognitive functioning, improved mood, reduced feelings of isolation and anxiety, lower stress hormones and enhanced immune system function.
However, not all time outside is considered equal! We benefit most from the outdoors when we are mindful of our environment.
At this event, I will show you how to benefit from being outside through various guided mindfulness practices as we walk to Mount Royal and back.
Accessibility is of the utmost importance for this event so please be sure to complete the registration and accessibility needs form so I can be sure to adapt to your needs.
Registration closes on Oct. 23. We will meet in front of the GM Building: 1435 Guy St. This event will take place rain or shine!
