CIHR Café Scientifique presents Science on tap: Quench your interest
Which activity takes up one third of our lives and is essential to our health? Sleep!
Social activities, entertainment and the increased dependence on smart phones and tablets, are among the many elements which have an impact on our sleep patterns and overall quality of sleep. Studies show that sleep plays a crucial role in the optimal functioning of our brain and body.
During this CIHR café scientifique conversation, experts will discuss the structure of the sleep cycle, the role of sleep, the risks associated with lack of sleep and strategies for achieving and maintaining healthy sleep.
