The community of Montreal in invited to attend a public panel to discuss the issue of migrant workers in Canada. Moderator Brigitte Noel, CBC journalist, will be joined by the following speakers:

  • Eugénie Depatie-Pelletier, Migrant Worker’s Rights coordinator;
  • Enrique Llanes, community organizer with the Immigration Worker’s Center (IWC);
  • Marisa Berry Mendez, settlement policy director at the Canadian Council for Refugees;
  • and more.

Based on the different contexts in which they work, the panelists will address the Charter of Rights as well as migrant worker’s rights. Each panellist will get the opportunity to present their experiences and perspective on the approach for that they trust to be the most adequate way of changing the current Temporary Foreign Worker’s Program.

This event is hosted by the School of Community and Public Affairs (SCPA), in collaboration with the PSSA, People’s Potato, and the CSU.
