Innovation Projects: Innovation Projects are three-month full-time internships where students from all faculties will be challenged to create innovative solutions for industry-mandated projects.
Startup Incubator: District 3 offers startup programs where entrepreneurs gain the tools, resources and knowledge at every stage of their development — whether it’s validating their ideas and business model, developing the first marketable prototype or acquiring new customers.
Innovation and Commercialization: District 3 provides services for facult members interested in developing and commercializing a product derived from life sciences or engineering innovations. By offering access to experts, coaches, and mentors, the program provides intererested faculty with customized content and guidance based on their needs and stage of development. District 3’s level 1 Biolab offers faculty members the equipment needed to work on their projects. Please note that access to these programs is subject to compliance with applicable university policies and employment agreements.
Knowledge Space: Dedicated Concordia faculty members offer cutting-edge theoretical and practical research in best practices in innovation and entrepreneurship, providing a set of tools and methods to effectively “think outside the box.”
Creativity: District 3’s Particles Design Lab provides individuals the tools and design methods needed to solve problems creatively, as well as provides invaluable experience in the idea-to-prototype process through collaborating with emerging experts in the ecosystem.
A Social Space: Concordia community members interested in innovation and entrepreneurship meet and learn about activities and initiatives in the District 3 ecosystem — or they can simply enjoy a cup of coffee in a buzzing, vibrant atmosphere.
